Having a bit of a flutter on your favourite game is incredibly entertaining but from time to time things may not go as planned. If luck isn't with you maybe trying a roulette strategy might be worthwhile. There are quite a few different live roulette strategies to choose from and if you don't want to loose any money testing one out, then look for a free roulette game and give it a test run.

Each player has their own roulette strategy and some players enjoy playing the same bets because they think they are lucky, other players might try and steer clear of the same numbers that have previously come up earlier on thinking that they are unlikely to come up again for a while. Watch the numbers because the martingale strategy can be worthwhile after a run of four or five of the same like the low numbers.

The acknowledged method of gambling when playing live roulette is labelled the "Martingale system". The "Martingale" system first came about in France at some stage of the 18th century. When you use the strategy, you begin with a fixed bet - for example two or three dollars and you keep betting with this amount until you loose. When you loose you then always double up on the same bet until you eventually win, once you win you will get back all the betting money plus your original amount you bet. Unfortunately if you start doubling your bets to early and the bet keeps loosing you could rapidly reach the casinos betting limit and won't be able to continue, in which case you will end up loosing your cash.

A progressive bet is also a moderately well known way of betting, this is where the steaks are either raised or lowered progressively by the set amount. The bets are increased if won and lowered when loosing.

Many people say that the martingale strategy is the most used one but you can also make up your own strategy when playing internet roulette and don't need to simply follow someone else's roulette strategies or systems, some people even follow the bets of their friends or others who are on a lucky run. There are a variety of roulette strategies so research a few, extensively before you decide to put one to the test with real money. Remember roulette is just a game and if it is not your day then just stop playing and try again another day. Remember that when playing it's a good idea to set yourself a few limits, a time limit and a loss or winning limit.
